Mission for Paws is Built on Great Volunteers

Mission for Paws could not exist without the invaluable work of our volunteers. There are many different roles that help contribute to the organization in a meaningful way. This week we want to focus on two of our outstanding volunteers, Mark and Sarah Jones. This father and daughter team have been tremendous supporters of Mission for Paws. They have been key to the logistics and operational planning of our Petsmart store venue. Mark and Sarah help with the important tasks of the adoption prep set up, in store kitty condo maintenance, volunteer orientation and maintaining the warehouse and supplies. Their dedication and attention to details keep the program running smoothly.

Volunteer Sarah Jones

Volunteer Sarah Jones

Sarah who is now a senior has been volunteering as a student volunteer since her freshman year in high school. Mission for Paws engages in the community and makes a difference in the lives of companion animals through education, training, community outreach and partnerships. One of those partnerships involves providing local high schools and their students opportunities to earn volunteer hours toward graduation. This partnership with local high school students and Mission for Paws is mutually beneficial. Sarah adeptly balances her volunteer work with her dual high school/ college studies and her place on the varsity tennis team. We are so proud of Sarah and hopeful for her future contributions and know she will be a lifelong animal advocate.

Volunteer Mark Jones

Volunteer Mark Jones

Mark is retired from the Office of the Attorney General. He is a full time dad and avid tennis player. Mission for Paws is so lucky to have such a great asset and someone who is skilled with organizational and people skills. Mark is a great dad and awesome role model for his daughter Sarah. We call Mark the energizer bunny of Mission for Paws and we wish he could be cloned. We are incredibly grateful for Mark's contributions and hard work.
